Year 2015

Another year almost gone, where on earth has 2015 gone? It’s come to that point of the year where we reflect on the highs and lows of the year and set our new year resolutions. Does anyone even do that anymore?

It has been an eventful year to say the least. It started of with low times in my personal life, took a few months to get back to myself. I wont dwell on ramble on about it as it’s firmly in the past & that is where it will stay. But the year 2015 is one i shall never forget even though it will get consigned to the past. The hardest part being the uncertainty when it was announced the company i was working for 4 years was to go in to administration & that our jobs was under great threat. It has been 4 very eventful years at the company.

So what happened?

What happened is probably the question you will or would want to ask. Well I’ll tell you what happened after the shocking news, i was lucky enough to land a job fairly quickly closer to home, i knew the person very well after spending 4 years working for him. So it was a no-brainer, After a few days of considering where my future was going to be i came to the conclusion to join the new venture. It was a new challenge i was excited about, I didn’t look back, the opportunity was grasped with two hands & ploughed forward on my new journey.

It has been a very eventful & exciting few months in to the journey, it’s left me confident about the new year ahead, this is the first time in many years where i am absolutely buzzing about the future. Prospects are good. I’m enjoying every single minute of the journey, new found enthusiasm & commitment.

So what now in the new year 2016?

So we are fast approaching the year 2016 – the new year. You hear the words “new year, new me” – But for me, it’s “new year, same old me” – No one knows what the future holds, but we can hope & feel excited about the new year and what’s on the horizon. So the same enthusiasm and commitment remains in place for the new year, the hunger for success is growing on a daily basis, surrounded by very good friends and colleagues, i am very excited about the future.

Here’s a little list of what i want to do in the new year;

  • Blogging – need to blog more
  • Learn SASS
  • Continue meeting deadlines
  • Continue providing excellent client support
  • Build on my PHP skills & WordPress development
  • Keep on learning about website/online security
  • Form new friendships
  • And to just be myself

This is hungry work, so let’s end it here, from MJCoder i wish you all a Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year. I hope you all meet the targets you set for the new year.

Have a mince pie on me. Stay safe, stay blessed.
